The Foxterrier
Character

The wire-haired fox terrier (WFT) has a unique personality – something which can be attested to by anyone who has ever had one in his or her home. They are intelligent, lively, active, well-dispositioned, loyal and brave companions – very intuitive and excellent watchdogs in any situation. In general they get along very well with adults and children and will defend them in their playful adventures. At the same time this companion does not enjoy violent and excessively noisy activities.Being very possessive of their owners, they do not get along well with other animals, unless taught to do so as puppies, or are well-trained in order to be less aggressive with other pets. They are highly recommended as family pets, due to their loving, good nature, which brings hapiness wherever found. They tend to be distrustful of strangers. They should be taught social behavior from a young age. I think that up to 8 months of age "we can mold the dog into what we want it to be". That is to say we should take advantage of this period of time to teach it everything we want it to learn. They are very brave, fearless animals. If attacked they will immediately defend themselves without considering the size nor the strength of their opponents.
